Closed Curve

A curve that joins up so there are no end points.

Example: an ellipse is a closed curve. So is a circle.

While curves are normally smooth (no sharp changes), closed curves can include sharp points, like polygons.

You get a closed curve when you draw it without lifting your pencil and you end up where you started.
